Post It! Daily Positive Affirmations

In the picture below is something I like to do on a daily basis. Well let me keep it real, sometimes I do forget. "This is my chest of post it positive".  I get a pack of post it notes and write one positive affirmation about that day and keep them locked in this little chest. Now I know we are in the 9th month of the year and I should have way more then what you see, but like I said sometimes I forget. You'll see that there are pink and blue post its. I started this late 2013 which are the blue post it notes. The pink post it notes are for the current year 2014. Here's how it works. Because the pink post it notes are the current year, I fold them so at the end of the year I can go back and read all the positive things that happen throughout the year. For the blue post it notes after I read them all on New Years Eve ( you don't have to read them on that day.) I put them together with a paper clip. Sometimes I'll go back and read some of the notes.
The purpose of affirmations is to help your subconscious mind accept that what you are saying is true. What you think and what you say sends out signals to the universe. Basically what you release is what you'll get in return. So why not try to think positive and say positive things about you're self on a daily basis.
Let me explain *Kevin Hart voice*... My man and I decided to go for a jog Saturday morning at 6 am. First off I am usually not the person who is willing to wake up that damn early on a Saturday and I don't jog that often but I said to myself "I'm going to do this." Now, he parked his car at a gas station that was pretty far away from the park we were going to run at. I have never went  jogging at that park so I didn't know what I was in for. He said we will jog to the park then back and I was fine with that. We ended up jogging about three blocks until we got to the park and I was so ready to head back to the car. I did take breaks as I was jogging, however I kept thinking in my head " you can do this."  Once we started jogging again through the park, I felt as if my lungs and heart were about to say "deuces." At the park I was just ready to walk the rest of the miles, I mean it seemed like the path was never ending. My calves were hurting, I had a hard time keeping my breath. But I did finish and it was because in my mind I was telling myself "keeping going ," "you'll finish this path," "you are doing great." I sure did finish that jog, and I felt really good about myself after.

When writing positive affirmations about your day, affirm using present tense, make them brief, have a strong faith in what you are writing, and at the end say aloud what you wrote.

Examples:
To appreciate your job - I have a satisfying job
To feel better - I am healthy and happy.
To have healthy relationships  - I radiate love and happiness.
To study better- I study and comprehend fast.

Remember what you release is what you'll get in return. Be great!!!

Happy Birthday to me 9/9/14!!!!!

Yesterday was my birthday! I take my birthday off every year from work and school to celebrate me. I work hard ALL year long, working one or two jobs some years and also attending school. My day was  simple, however I enjoyed every minute of it. I gave myself a Mani & Pedi, spent time with some friends and then had dinner with my Bae. I didn't mind the simple day because this summer I have done a lot of traveling, partying, and other fun events. I am proud of the young woman I have grown into over the years. It sounds so cliche because it seems to be every females favorite "saying" but I really can say that I am a wiser, stronger, victorious woman. I've learned how to let go of the past, not hold grudges, move into the successful life I deserve and desire, not follow society, know that only mine and the Almighty's opinion of me matter, love freely, and just so much more. I could go on but I don't want to bore you while reading this. I do want to share that your twenties matter the most and these are the years you should take the most serious. Build your foundation while building yourself into a better person. Invest in your career early. Save your money but also celebrate you.

Eliminate Stress

Some times life can come at us too fast. We all have those times in life that are just too much to deal with. Life is full of hassles, frustration, disappointments, and demands. I want to share some ways to eliminate stress. I wrote these things in my journal for myself, however I will often share some of the things I write. Stress will come and go and you don't have to stay stressed out when it does come. What you can do to relieve yourself of stress is eliminate it! You have more control over your stress levels than you might think...
Live vivaciously, love deeply, and pray fervently.

Hairfinity!?! Hair grows! Save some $$

OK so I'm a little late to the party, however I've been dying to talk about hairfinity... Now I know that most of us want long healthy hair, some people just stick to the long part because I see some ladies out in the streets with them raggedy split ends, trying to hold on to it for dear life because they want to keep their length. Anyways, I want to write to share some light about hair growth and hopefully save you some money. Most of us are quick to jump on the bandwagon because, well I really don't know why. I guess they see that the most popular thing is the cool thing to do and if everyone is doing it then it must work...Right. I really can't speak for everyone. I'm just hear to say that yes hairfinity does work, however and I will say this; it is important that you DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH first! Like seriously how are you going to jump on the bandwagon if you don't know where it's going? I'm the type of person who will question the bandwagon, I'll check the wheel, see what kind of horse is pulling the wagon, what type of music we playing. I'm not going to put my fate into someone's else perspective and/or even my moolah. Hairfinity's top ingredient is biotin. It has 2500mcg of biotin in the pill which is an essential to promote hair growth, protects against dryness, and produces a keratin that prevents hair loss. Wonderful! According to the label it also provides a bunch of other great vitamins for your hair. Now I believe one bottle of 60 capsules is $24 plus the shipping. I'm a woman of savings, call me cheap, that's cool. However, if all of what  my hair need is biotin to only promote growth, then I'm going to head to my local drug store to spend about $6 on some 2500 MCG biotin pills. All those other vitamins I can get from eating healthier foods which is better for my body anyways. I'm just calling it out by the truth....BUT! What all these vitamin  companies don't tell you about hair growth is, RETENTION is the key. Hair will grow with or without taking vitamins PERIOD! Keeping that length is what is most important. Hairfinity and/or even biotin pills are not some supper pills that will give you like 3 inches of hair growth in one month. Hair grows about 1/2 to 1 inch a month which all depends on if you RETAIN that growth. Not too many people, especially naturals retain all their length by 6 months or a year. It also depends on how you are treating your hair (proactive styling, relaxers, coloring, constant manipulation) all have some type of  effect on retention. What you do to your hair determines if you are keeping retention, that is something you have to keep track of and pay attention to. So with that being said save your money and take good care of your hair of your hair because even if you are taking hair growth pills and you are not doing the healthy necessities for your hair to keep retention, you are just wasting money either way by using the hairfinity and/or biotin pills. Always remember RETENTION IS KEY!

Note for you.

Reasons to Keep a Journal

Since middle school, I would say I have always written down whatever my thoughts were. I think I have a bout 50 journals all shapes, sizes, and colors filled with whatever. I love writing and I love creating. After I write whatever I am feeling or thinking, I always feel relieved. Now that I am older I have started to write more about my future, like the things I want to accomplish. I also included keeping track of my spending's. So here are my 10 reason why you should keep a journal.

1. Brings clarity
2. Keeps you focused
3. Safe place for desires
4. Reduces stress
5. List goals
6. Helps you plan your dreams
7. Gives you peace of mind. (Meaning helps your mind be at peace)
8. Helps you solve problems
9. Can help to increase your clash flow. (Create either weekly or biweekly list of the bills/necessities you have to pay for the month (rent, car, cell, food, savings etc...) Put the amount next to the item so you can track where your money is going. Don't forget to add your savings. Pay your self $10 or $20 however much a month and DON'T touch that $$ EVER, try to keep that for emergency purposes only. Basically all you have to do with the finance list is stick to the script. Any extra $$ you have at the end is yours to save or splurge.
10. SELF-IMPROVEMENT I sometimes go back and read some of my old journals and laugh at how childish I was most in a bad way but also in a good way. I was a big dreamer and I was just filled with so many adventurous thoughts. I can say that these journals have played a role in me becoming the better woman I am today.
I ask that you try this and keep a journal. "Go confidently in the direction of your dreams! Live the life you've imagined"
